Pronunciation involves far more than individual sounds. Word stress, sentence stress, intonation, and word linking all influence the sound of spoken English, not to mention the way we often slur words and phrases together in casual speech.

Genre analysis is the study of how language is used within a particular context. Genres differ in that each has a different goal and they are structured differently to achieve these goals.

Practice Teaching, or practicum, refers to experiences that teacher trainees have in the classroom before they take on the full range of responsibilities required for student teaching. The deductive method of teaching grammar is an approach that focuses on instruction before practice. A teacher gives students an in-depth explanation of a grammatical concept before they encounter the same grammatical concept in their own writing.

Fun Bridge officially started in 2014 after successfully using similar programmes in kindergartens across Japan by its creator, Pieter Van Leuven. The programme was developed to get students to not only sing, but also to understand the context of what they were singing, and get more involved and after some practice, to sing the songs without teacher input.
